Overview
Coverage and promotional film production for a Cairokee concert in Istanbul, aimed at translating the energy of the live show into a visual experience — not a conventional concert recap. Rather than simply documenting the performance, the goal was to build material that promotes the show while reflecting the band’s identity and stage presence.
Role
I led the project from planning through final delivery, covering production management, creative direction, oversight of the visual direction, coverage planning and crew allocation, on-set workflow supervision, and leading the footage selection and narrative structuring of the video. The final edit followed the vision and visual style developed during pre-production.

Scope
The project ran across one week, spanning planning, location recce, production and post-production, with the shoot itself compressed into a single day at Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul. The crew numbered 14, with clear role division between fixed cameras, mobile cameras and logistics, to cover every detail of the show without disrupting it. Alongside the promotional film, the project included a 360° viewing experience delivered through a dedicated website, giving audiences a different perspective on the concert — closer to actually being there.
Concept
The idea was to present the concert as an experience the viewer lives through, not a set of shots documenting what happened. That’s why the work began with a site recce the day before the shoot, studying the stage, screens and crowd flow, then building a storyboard that defined the shot language, camera paths and the visual style the whole team would work to. Unconventional elements were also introduced — including aerial POV shots, worked around the show’s own logistical constraints — alongside the 360° experience, extending the visual experience into a new way of consuming the content.

Execution
On shoot day, the focus was managing a multi-task crew while keeping coverage consistent across every camera. Camera operators were directed live against the show as it unfolded, flagging the moments worth focusing on, to keep the footage varied while holding one visual style. After the shoot, the material went through review and selection, choosing the shots that served the narrative, then structuring the video start to finish and setting the overall edit rhythm to build energy and hold the concert’s atmosphere together. The biggest challenge was coordinating a 14-person crew inside a live event that gave no chance to redo a moment, while delivering two outputs at once — the promotional film and the 360° experience — without compromising either.
